Zimbabwean song ‘Maruza Imi’
featuring 3 variations inspired
by an archived recording from
the Pitt Rivers Museum.
In this work, the recording is
reimagined as a living artifact that
holds its own memories and emotions
while simultaneously serving as a
gateway to Zimbabwe’s history.
